Jesus made it simple. Man made it into denominations with rule books they invented. That is why I tell the joke, if you put two holy men in a room and ask a question about the bible, you will get three answers.

I think Pastor Bob said it well in a recent sermon: “If you go to heaven you only have God to thank. If you go to hell you only have yourself to blame.” I think God calls everyone. I do believe He wants to see everyone have a relationship with Him and go to heaven, but whether we answer that call is up to us.
I believe john 3:17,18 He wishes all to be saved, but you must make the choice. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.
I so want people to know Him the way I do, & some I witness to seem to believe, but they choose to do what they want to. Lean to Arminius view
Brilliantly said, Pastor Bob. Labels and doctrine put God in a box and limit people in their evangelism and discipleship. I, too, am a “Biblist.” Seek Him, believe His Word, and love Him with your whole heart, soul, and strength and He reveals Himself to the seeker. I have never read about “Calvinists” in the Word of God. Jesus tells us to follow Him – not John Calvin. Jesus is Lord. I agree with Virginia – He made it very simple for us to follow Him – so that ALL might be saved!
