This is the best 2 minutes that I have spent watching a video in a long time.

Now the difficult part is finding a like minded person. I thought I married that person (a committed Christian) but he divorced me 2 years later.

Yes, definitely a good idea to choose VERY carefully

I have been married 5 times and divorced and I have realized that 3 of them were not Christians at all, and the other 2 said they were and then their fruits didn’t show it. I am not proud of that fact. I AM A FIRM BELIEVER that just like being a Christian calls us to love the unloveable then for marriage the same is true. We have to follow God’s word and his advice on picking that person, BE PATIENT(Not something I have most of the time, but I am learning even when I don’t want to,THANK YOU GOD!

Love is a Choice!! When you reconize this then you can understand how people “fall in and out of Love”. We choose to love and we choose to stop loving someone. I lived with 3 of the men before I married and I knew in my heart I was wrong and when I asked them to honor me and do the right thing they laughed in my face. AND YET I MARRIED them anyway. I say this because I finally learned my lessons. I am very stubborn BTW!! I started going to CC Chatttown. to be continued

I have gone to CC Chattanooga since July. I met someone at work that I was friends with for a few months and we started going out and I told him I wouldn’t date someone who didn’t go to church. he told me I do go to Church.Where? I asked and BIG Surprise CC Chattanooga and Fort Lauderdale. Although he hadn’t gone in a while. We let the relationship go too far and then started living together because I have had 3 major surgeries in 3 months and needed someone to help around the house with my son.

People at the church very lovingly reminded me what they saw in me and how much they love us both and were willing to help us to do the right thing. It is amazing. I asked him to move out and told him why and he said YES!!! God is so AMAZING! Pastor Frank said something in one of sermons in Dec/Jan and he said”God created the situation” that has stuck with me. My bf and I will get married and just like Pastor Bob’s testimony God will restore us like he did Pastor Bob, I believe that.

I got saved when I was 6 years old and I truly believe then and more and more now that NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE WITH GOD!!!! I can’t wait to see what happens next. It is scary to think about what God could have in store sometimes. I can do nothing without him so I hope that others I meet see that in me. Thank you Pastor Bob for that answer it was perfect confirmation for everything that I have been learning up here in Chattown

What i do not think was mentioned here is that Love is more than just an emotion. I believe, more and more, that marriage is a refining fire that forces you to lose yourself as you dedicate more and more of your time to your wife and, as they enter your life, children. In truth, you do not “lose yourself”, you identity just becomes encompassed within the lives of those you Love. As you invest your time into their lives your Love for them grows and, hopefully, their Love for you grows.

    Pastor Bob,

It took the hand of God and the heart of Jesus to allow me to know what true love really is..and what true love is not!

Love…true love… once shared is eternal love.

I pray we all find the sweet sound of His voice and the warmth of His presence in all of our relationships…soulmate or otherwise!

I often think that thanks goes out to many people like you for helping to lead us in His everlasting…with all glory and honor to God.

    Pastor Bob,

Hi! Im from NC and recently started listening to you on the radio, I’m glad to hear you speak and Im glad that we share the same Father.

I believe that God has a purpose for each one of us and he has chosen our paths in this life, even who we’ll marry. He gave us the free will to choose what to do. At times we take a different path and that’s when were unsure if “He’s the one for me” maybe that’s not who God had but b/c of His mercy and grace He makes him/her our Soulmate!

My advice to today’s youth is give yourself to God! I know it’s hard Im young too! There are many pleasures and treasures in this world. Like my sister said, It will be sad if you reap riches and glory here and then at the gates of heaven you wait to be judged.
I believe the more you dive into having a relationship with God the easier it will be to let go of these worldly things. Sin will always be behind us but we have to be 1 step ahead and I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST, MY STRENGTH!

I have found over the years I have a bad picker – yeah I’ll always pick the wrong person – every time! When I gave it to God he gave me the perfect person (totally the opposite of who I would have picked on my own- see bad picker) – I used to think “Happily ever after” was just a lie and was something disney made up to give us hope or just to make us feel like miserable failures – now I know with Jesus as the head and his leading and guiding I am living happily ever after, thanks pastor
