Hi Richard. There’s actually a sermon Pastor Bob preached a few years back where he explains in detail how he first started speaking to a congregation. He was very fearful of public speaking. Besides praying that the Holy Spirit will be with you as you speak, the second biggest confidence builder is being prepared. When you know what you’re talking about, it won’t matter to you if you are talking to six or six hundred. I’m in sales and the Lord and graciously allowed me to converse with many hundreds of couples and have done some seminars. Begin talking with a few and then increase the number of people if you can. Pray & know – those are two keys! Pete
